Every Test. Cancel When You Pass.

Written-test preparation is seasonal, so the price should be too.
AccelaStudy® AI Aviation bills by the month with no commitment — and the annual tier exists because a career track takes a year, not seven weeks.

Subscriptions open at launch in February 2027. Nothing is charged before then.

Annual

$39/mo

$468 billed annually — saves $120 a year.

The training-arc tier. For carrying it from the first lesson through to the rating.

  • Everything in Monthly
  • The six ground-school companion courses, pre-solo through ATP
  • One knowledge picture across the whole training arc, not one per rating
  • Everything you prove on one test carries into the next one
  • The best value from month five onward — which is most of a private certificate

Flight schools and university aviation programs

Seat-based accounts exist for flight schools and collegiate aviation programs. They are an institutional arrangement rather than a plan you can buy on this page, so the price depends on the program: pricing on request. Get in touch through the contact on our press page. A seat is the same study product an individual subscriber gets — it is not an approved training course outline and it does not change what your school is certificated to do.

The arithmetic

What a Written Actually Costs

A private-pilot knowledge window is commonly six to eight weeks.
Here is what that costs on each side of the decision.

A private written here

$98

Two months at $49/mo, the oral practice included, then you stop.

A Part 107 here

$49

One month is plenty for a sixty-question test with no endorsement to arrange.

A course or kit, per rating

$40–$349

Bought once per rating, and bought again for the next one.

The part that is easy to miss: a career track is not one purchase, it is four or five. Private, instrument, commercial, instructor — at $249 to $349 a course that is commonly $1,000 to $1,400 before you count the fundamentals-of-instructing and ground-instructor material. A year on the annual tier is $468 and covers every test on the ladder, plus the oral for each checkride.

The field

Who You Are Actually Choosing Between

You will not find this list on most aviation-prep sites, which is odd, because you are going to build it yourself anyway.
Here is the market as it stands, and where we sit in it.

Video ground schools

Sporty’s · King Schools · Pilot Institute

The default recommendations, and the ones your flight school probably has a poster for. Sporty’s Learn to Fly runs about $299 with lifetime access; King’s complete private course about $349, with per-rating courses roughly $249 to $349; Pilot Institute’s Part 107 course about $179. Genuinely good video instruction. You buy each rating separately, and the figures you drill are the fixed ones.

Kits and question banks

Gleim · ASA Prepware · Sheppard Air

Cheaper and deliberately narrower. Gleim’s kits run roughly $189 to $310; ASA’s Prepware Online is about $39.95 and is the value option in the category. Sheppard Air takes the method to its logical end — drill the remembered question pool until you recognize it — which works on the written and prepares you for nothing that comes after it.

Free video and live ground

Boldmethod · Gold Seal · Fly8MA · your instructor

A great deal of high-quality aviation instruction is free or nearly so, and you should use it. What none of it does is track what you know, and none of it grades you. The alternative that does is one-to-one ground instruction at $40 to $80 an hour, or a CFI-led ground school session at $200 to $400 — which is the real price of the thing we are actually competing with.

Where we sit, stated plainly: we are not the cheapest thing on this page — a $39.95 question bank is, and the free video is free. We are cheaper than a complete video course for a single written, and dramatically cheaper across a career track where the incumbents charge again at every rating. We are the only one here that practices the oral, and the only one whose figures are generated rather than fixed. We do not offer a pass guarantee, and we are not going to imply one.

Billing Questions

Can I really cancel any time?
Yes, in one click from your account. Paid access continues to the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and nothing renews after that. Flight training gets interrupted by weather, money and life — switching off for two months and back on is the normal case here, not an edge case.
Is there a trial?
There is a 7-day free trial, and it is per product — sign up through AccelaStudy AI Aviation and you trial AccelaStudy AI Aviation. One trial per product, per account. Pre-Solo Fundamentals is separately free and needs no trial and no card.
What is actually included?
Everything on this site: every FAA airman knowledge test, the oral practice on every task, generated figures and real charts, graded flight-planning math, regulation lookup, weather decoding, the missed-code prediction, Autopilot planning, and — on the annual tier — the six ground-school companion courses. There are no add-ons and no premium tier above this one.
Which plan should I be on?
If you have a test appointment inside about two months, monthly. If you are in training and expect to be at this for a year, annual: it is cheaper from month five onward, and the companion courses are the tier’s reason to exist.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes, from your account. Annual saves 20%; changes take effect at your next billing cycle.
Is the test fee included?
No. You pay the testing provider directly for the appointment — currently in the region of $175, set by them and not by us, and worth confirming when you schedule. Everything here is preparation; none of it is the test.
What if I do not pass and need to retake?
Resubscribe at the price published at that time and pick up where you left off — your profile, your proficiency and your history are preserved, so you are not starting from scratch. Your test report lists the standards codes you missed, and those go straight into your study plan. There is no pass guarantee here and no refund tied to a result.
Does subscribing here include other AccelaStudy AI products?
No. Each product in the family is an independent subscription — no bundles, no stacking, no surprises. AccelaStudy AI Aviation covers the airman knowledge tests and the oral; the other products are their own subscriptions.
Do you sell seats to flight schools?
Yes, as an institutional arrangement rather than a plan on this page. Pricing is on request and depends on the size of the program — get in touch and say roughly how many students you have.
Why is the button disabled?
Because the product launches in February 2027 and we are not taking money for something you cannot use yet. Join the waitlist and you will hear the day it opens.
